Man Maze

MAN MAZE I, II, III

In Man Maze, puzzles and mazes function as a layer to address notions surrounding the navigation and negotiation of contemporary queer identity. Reconfigured turn-of the century vintage photographs juxtapose appropriated images from current advertising. As in previous bodies of work, we employ metaphorical use of images and physical construction of collage. Questions of “How far have we come?” and “How far do we have to go?” reference equality, gay marriage, and universal civil rights.
